Founder · Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh · 6+ years in digital services
My name is Gaurav Tripathi. I am from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and I have been working in the digital services and e-governance space for over 6 years.
My connection with the eDistrict UP system started in 2019 when I was helping a relative apply for a caste certificate through a Jan Seva Kendra in our block. The CSC operator charged ₹200 for a service that should have cost ₹30 in government fees. My relative had no idea about the correct fee, no idea how to check the application status independently, and no idea that the same certificate could be applied for at ₹15 from a mobile phone. That one experience showed me a gap that affects millions of people across Uttar Pradesh every day.
Since then, I have spent years understanding how the eDistrict ecosystem works — from the citizen-facing eSathi portal to the backend verification process involving Lekhpals, Revenue Inspectors, and Tehsildars. I have personally helped over 500 people in my district apply for income, caste, domicile, birth, and death certificates through the eSathi portal. I have seen applications get rejected for avoidable reasons — unsigned self-declaration forms, documents over 100KB, name mismatches with Aadhaar — and I have documented every pattern.
I am not a government officer. I am not affiliated with NIC, the Revenue Department, or any government body. I don't have insider access or special credentials. What I do have is practical, on-the-ground experience of how this system works for ordinary citizens — the steps that actually matter, the errors that actually happen, and the fixes that actually work.

Why I built this website
Uttar Pradesh has over 24 crore citizens. Only about 30% have internet access. Nearly 78% live in rural areas where digital literacy is low. The official eDistrict portal (edistrict.up.gov.in) provides the service but not the guidance — it assumes you already know what to do. The information that exists online is either buried inside irrelevant domains, written in English that most UP citizens cannot read comfortably, or scattered across YouTube videos with no structured reference.
This website exists to fill that gap. Every guide on this site is written in Hindi first (with English terms where needed) because that is how UP citizens actually communicate. Every step has been verified against the live portal. Every fee has been cross-checked. Every rejection reason comes from real cases I have personally seen or documented from community interactions.
